In 2016, during MALONNY 3, Ray Bartkus turned the pillar of this bridge into a submarine ship turret. In 2019, during the bridge’s widening and reinforcement works, the artwork was destroyed. Reacting to the Russian aggression in Ukraine and the reinforcement of the NATO defense force, Ray decided to recreate the submarine providing a new updated version. The submarine is calmly drifting in the Sesupe river as a talisman of safety that is always ready to defend Marijampole from all potential hardships.
