Created during the first “Malonny” symposium, this mural by Ray Bartkus brought a touch of American pop culture to Marijampolė. Unfortunately, the music-making aliens from science fiction films stayed on J. Dailidė Street only briefly in 2014.
During the 10th “Malonny” symposium, the artist decided to symbolically revive his work “Extraterrestrial Symphony” in a new location. This time, he expanded the alien orchestra by adding a soloist. According to Ray Bartkus, the idea was inspired by Marijampolė-born opera singer Violeta Urmanavičiūtė-Urmana, who once attended the opening of his exhibition in Geneva.
