A prominently located electrical substation caught the attention of artist Ray Bartkus, inspiring him to paint a mural dedicated to “Malonny”, a symposium that has become a hallmark of the city. Painted on all sides, the building seems to pose questions to passers-by: “We have arrived in Marijampolė, but why is London here? Why New York?” The artist hopes that the mural will further encourage visitors to take an interest in the street art being created in Marijampolė.
