At first glance, the mural “Little Frog’s Dreamland” appears playful, but it carries an important message. The work of 83-year-old artist Judy Tuwaletstiwa reflects two historical themes: the Holocaust and the consequences of atomic bomb testing, during which countless frogs were harmed. At the center of the mural is a character from the artist’s book—a little frog who dreams of telling stories, while knowing that he will soon have to surrender his heart to death.
