The museum protects memories of the post war period fights and massive deportation. The fight against the Soviet Union was from 1944 to 1954. The deportation was from June 14th of 1941 to 1953. The museum holds many materials from that time: guns of partisans, letters, memories, pictures, household appliances and documents.

The museum was opened in November of 1993. It was managed by former partisans’ bondman and prisoner, the author of book about the partisans fight – A. Vilutienė.
