The Museum of "Lithuanian Sugar""

This museum was opened on, October 15th 2016. The purpose of this museum is to remember the 85th  anniversary of the first Lithuanian sugar factory. The museum can be found in one of the authentic factory buildings, which is recognized as a cultural heritage. It is a miracle that the factory was not destroyed as many other buildings at the time of war were and it can still remind the spirit of Smetona times, attracts visitors and brings amazement by its greatness. The museum gives a chance to show the history of the factory, antique work equipment and the technology which helps to make sugar. A lot of attention is dedicated to archaeological finds which remembers the history of Suvalkija. Visitors can watch historical-documentary movies, to take a picture with factory employees from 1931 and even with president Smetona. That is not all the entertainment as after degustation of sugar visitors can also make their own coin of LITHUANIAN SUGAR.
